Sita has been coaching gymnastics since before embarking on her own journey as a performer. She believes that circus arts should be accessible to all. Her teaching philosophy emphasises helping children and adults alike discover new disciplines, particularly when their existing abilities can transfer into the world of aerial arts.
From 2020 to 2022, Sita taught aerial skills at Sorø Gymnastik Efterskole, designing a six-month program that took students from beginner to intermediate levels. Several students later pursued higher education in circus arts. To ensure sustainability, she mentored a teacher and two students to continue the course, maintaining a safe and enriching program.
Sita also creates customisable aerial programs tailored to institutions, clubs, or individuals, focusing on skill development and enjoyable, safe learning experiences.
Sita extended her expertise to directing a unique and emotionally impactful show; SPECTO-År med Tanker, for Sorø Gymnastik Efterskole. This project combined the talents of the students with international professional circus artists, creating a performance that revolved around a powerful theme, moving many in the audience to tears.
The show was a collaborative effort as Sita guided the group through the development of the show, including:
• Theme and Storytelling: Crafting a cohesive narrative and emotional flow for the performance.
• Music and Costumes: Selecting pieces that complemented the story and visually brought the theme to life.
• Technical Preparation: Transforming the school hall into a theatrical environment, creating a space that fully immerses the audience.
This hands-on approach empowered students with practical skills in show production and performance, resulting in a memorable, impactful collaboration with professional circus artists.
Sita offers workshops for aerial enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to advanced performers. She helps individuals refine their skills, create new acts, or enhance existing routines with finesse.
With expertise in both technical and artistic aspects, Sita also provides creative direction and mentorship for projects, making her an ideal choice for developing impactful performances.
